What do we mean by "scripting is disabled"?

In order to accomplish some tasks, we need to run small "script" programs that are contained within the pages displayed by your internet browser.  One common task is displaying e-mail address that are stored as individual characters so that it is more difficult for people who send spam e-mail messages to harvest the addresses for their illicit purposes.  Other scripts that we have created allow us to receive information from you if you sign up for a fencing class using our on-line sign up page.

If you wish to use the functionality contained within the script code on this site, you will need to enable scripting for your browser.

If you are using Internet Explorer, the settings can be found on the "Security" tab in "Internet Options".  For FireFox, the settings can be found on the "Content" tab in the "Options" dialog.  Other browsers will have these settings in different locations but you should be able to find the information you need to enable scripts in the help system for the browser.
